Anthony is a Communication Skills Trainer and an Executive Coach. He has 12 years experience in devising and delivering Leadership Development interventions wherein learners practice, to embed theoretical learning. He is interested in “sticky” training, where learners practice skills in a safe environment, so they can confidently and effectively incorporate new tools into their personal repertoire of skills. He is a very experienced business role-player.
To forward these activities he has founded and is director of Dramatic Improvement ltd. Before embarking on this training path he had a career as a Chief Executive of an arts charity developing new work in the South West of England. His work as a professional Theatre Director, has been constant since 1990 and is an activity he continues on a project by project basis. His experience in coaching good performances from actors translates into the ability to deliver incisive and clear personal feedback,in a style which can be understood and acted upon. Anthony understands that effective communication skills are founded on an accurate assessment of self and to that end he can work with a number of psychometric models, and assessment tools. He is a trained DISC practitioner.
He has extensive experience in teaching and coaching effective presentation and personal impact skills at different levels within an organisation, ranging from middle management to senior leadership teams and chief executives. He works with Dramatic Improvement and as an associate of a number of training consultancies who employ his skills within wider training interventions. He devises and creates interactive learning activities that address the outcomes required and he has extensive experience in writing materials for these. He fundamentally enjoys encouraging people to find their voice and their power. He believes that authenticity is a hallmark of effective leadership and he encourages learners to pursue their enthusiasms with heightened personal awareness and to hone communication skills that are congruent with who they are.
He is a trustee of a charity, a founder/director of two UK Ltd. Companies and a governor of his local school.Our People & Partners
